Rebuilding Together – Fall 2013

Westhill construction company in Los Gatos, California supplied material and labor to assist Rebuild Together in making repairs on one of their project homes on National Rebuilding day 2010. Rebuilding Together recently finished their latest home repair projects with great success. Rebuilding Day is their bi-annual home repair blitz, pulling together hundreds of volunteers and dozens of sponsors to repair and rehabilitate nonprofit facilities and the homes of low-income homeowners. Over the course of just a few days during April and October, their Rebuilding Day program provides both major and minor repairs and renovations that result in life-changing improvements for the homeowners and organizations served. As houses are transformed, neighborhoods and communities find hope and pride restored.

Rebuilding Day Impact

Every repair project that we undertake is unique. Each work site comes with a different history, unique needs, its own scope of work, and a dedicated volunteer team. Any volunteer, age 14 or older, is invited to volunteer to make a visible, life-changing impact in their community. As we work to revitalize Silicon Valley communities, we also provide a positive team building volunteer experience for our sponsors and community partners. The result of months of planning, evaluating, training, and coordination is a lasting impression and life-changing experience for both our volunteers and the families and individuals that we serve.
